Naader 'Freak8r' Reda takes on a bloody big tin of ravioli and sets a new world record to boot.

Since the dawn of time, there have been many questions that have dogged the inquisitive among us as they journey on the path of righteousness and enlightenment.

Where do babies come from?

Why is the sky blue?

And if Teflon's non-stick, how do they stick it to saucepans?

THE BIGGEST QUESTION
Unsurprisingly, after a few pints most people give up seeking the answers to such searching questions.

And if indeed the answers do exist, perhaps they are not meant for mere mortals to know, the preserve of the gods and the Ascended Masters alone.

But one question, one conundrum, is so perplexing that it has persisted to gnaw at the greatest minds like a dog at a juicy bone.

Like a grain of grit or a speck of sand forming a pearl inside an oyster or a pea beneath a pile of mattresses preventing a princess from kipping, its presence can never be ignored.

Is it possible to eat almost 7 lbs (3.2 kg) of ravioli in only 6 minutes?

FOREMOST THINKERS
Einstein, Bacon and the foremost thinkers of Lemuria and later have all pondered this perplexing poser.

And now, thanks to one man, one behemoth of the bouche, one goliath of the gob, we here at the Rake & Herald can finally reveal the answer and the answer is YES!

And what's more, RecordSetter has acknowledged this feat of beef-and-tomatoey pasta pummelling as a new world record.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you All Pro Eating's #1 Ranked World Food Challenger and the Rake & Herald's very own competitive eating editor… Mr Naader 'Freak8r' Reda and a f--king huge tin of ravioli!!!!

But hold up a mo.

Before we proceed any further, let me just point out that this was not Freak8r's first run-in with such a belly-bursting bastard, having previously scarfed a similarly sized super can in 9 minutes a little while back.

So that's not just a new world record, it's also a rollicking record ravioli reprise!

Hence the title of the article really.

But enough of all that.

Let's see some scoffing!!!

IMPRESSIVE WORLD RECORD
And what bloody top scoffing it was too, sir!

And for any doubting Thomases out there, we can confirm it is a new world record because this is what RecordSetter tweeted in response to watching the above vid: "Impressive world record, nice work!"

And flippin' heck it was indeed.

Especially when you consider Freak8r had to put up with all that yapping, singing and questions about Mr Belvedere from the assembled Wreckless Eating crew.

In fact, we here at the Rake & Herald were so impressed we've decided to treat you all to the following ravioli-themed music clip courtesy of the fantastically named F--kshovel that we originally came across courtesy of Derbyshire noise duo Drenge.

Yes, we've run it before and what's more we'll run it again.

Right here.

Right now.

And right this very minute.

Why?

Because it's flippin' ace and we bloody well can.

So shove that where the sun don't shine.

Sunshine.

And they say Freak8r's a messy eater.

While the first of the above two vids was embedded here on the Rake & Herald from Freak8r's YouTube channel, the second comes from that belonging to Dave Virago. Check them out here and here, respectively, why dontcha?
