BA's #TakeCraftBack campaign going from strength to strength, with bid lodged to buy Big Beer's biggest brewer.

A few weeks ago, the Rake & Herald reported on a new campaign by the US Brewers Association (BA) to acquire Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world's largest brewer.

Under the banner of #TakeCraftBack, the initiative set out to crowdfund "an eye-popping $213bn" (£161.7bn) to purchase the company and in so doing turn the tables on a growing trend that has seen Big Beer players buying up small, independent craft brewers on both sides of the Pond.

A FAIR PRICE
At the time, various nay-sayers said it couldn't be done.

One FaceBook user even told us that it was "the most stupid idea ever".

Well, who's stupid now?

That's right, it's time those doubting Thomases ate their words along with a large slice of humble pie because we can happily report that the BA has now made an offer to buy the company lock, stock and barrel.

Yes, lock, stock and barrel.

For $127,000.

And what's more, we've got the footage to prove it.
